Keeping That Perfect finish
A resin bound driveway is a mix of aggregate or stone completely coated in resin, which creates an incredibly strong surface that is anti-slip and skid, provides excellent drainage and comes with minimal maintenance. Also, unlike conventional asphalt, loose gravel driveways or block paving, resin is easier to maintain.
Top tips to maintain your resin driveway
Regularly sweep clean your driveway, removing leaves and debris material in order to prevent moss growth
Stains
Most stains can easily be removed with a solution of hot water and household detergent e.g. washing-up liquid. Heavy oil marks can be removed with a cloth and recommended detergents.
Drainage
The natural drainage capabilities of the material will soak up any moisture, without it standing on the surface, or running off into your garden.
Ice and snow
Snow and ice are not harmful so can naturally thaw away once the weather warms up. Salt can be applied on icy conditions but do not use road grit, as this will clog the permeable surface and the grit will break down the resin bound topping.
Small repairs
Your resin driveway should last you a long time without needing any repairs, but in the unfortunate circumstance that something happens to your resin driveway it can be repaired.
